Friday September 23 at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Shutz Vtet, winners of the first annual Angel City Jazz Young Artist Competition,will perform an opening set for the free concert at LACMA featuring The Larry Karush Quintet.
They will also be awarded a cash prize of $1000.

The Shutz Vtet was selected as the winner among the four finalists who performed at the Blue Whale on September 15th, by a panel of judges consisting on vocalist Dwight Trible, pianist Larry Karush, festival producer Jeff Gauthier and club owner Joon Lee.
Their performance was mesmerizing and brought the audience to an extended standing ovation.

Angel City Arts would like to thank all the young musicians who participated in our first competition. We're thoroughly impressed with the quality of the music that was submitted for our consideration.
